Press about Whole Lotta Nothin'

It's a long time ago since I listened to a Garage/RocknRoll/Punkrock CD
like this and while The Stereo Satanics recorded some nice songs on their
album “Whole Lotta Nothing” they won't get me to change that.
They info says, they played with bands like Electric Frankenstein and the
New Bomb Turks and yes...they sound like that sometimes, but that's already
the problem, because it's not like they make up for being a clone by recording
hit after hit. Don't get me wrong there's some nice tunes on the album,
like “Baby, Why Are You So Cool” and “54-40 or fight”
(well ok that's a covertune), but overall it's mediocre, maybe because of
the rather thin voice of the singer, that doesn't really kick ass, which
in my opinion it should in that genre. “Whole Lotta Nothin”
might be worth the look for some hardcore fans of the genre, but I don't
think you'll miss an important output by skipping that one and maybe listen
to the last King Khan record.
